See doctor: Is he on medication? Tics are a side effect of some medications. They can also be a marker of something more serious in the brain. He needs to be evaluated.

Tic's common: Tic's occur in ~15% of schoolage kids and are usually transient, lasting up to 6 mo.Some are related to infectious agents, some become chronic, some <1% actually represent a syndrome of facial//oral activity calles tourette syndrome.Write down all you remember about how/when it started & take kid & info in for review with your dr.
