Nervous habits: Many children develop habits. Most common is rubbing and picking nose, chewing nails hair or shirt, or facial grimacing. These are not serious but can indicate anxiety or stress. More important is for him to learn to suppress and modify these habits and to adapt more appropriate behavior. Help him understand that these habits are bothering you. Help him learn to control and manage them.
