Possible: Iuds do not provide 100% effectiveness. Hopefully you had a sting check 6 weeks after placement to confirm you didn't expel it. In addition, i won't usually use a copper iud in women your age because of the higher std risk. Even married women under age 25 have a higher than usual rate of stds. Check a pregnancy test and see a gynecologist.
