A member asked:

What is the best thing to take for a sinus infection or sore throat while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Saline sprays/drops: Normal saline sprayed into the nose, or instilled by a nettie pot are safe in pregnancy and may give you significant relief. If you need antibiotics, make sure your prescriber knows you are pregnant, as not all antibiotics are safe in pregnancy. Avoid medicinal sprays unless cleared by your health care provider. You may want to get a throat culture or rapid strep test.
