Not a good idea: Starting new birth control pills in the middle of your menstrual cycle may seriously disrupt your hormone levels and you will have very irregular bleeding. It may also decrease the effectiveness of the pills for birth control. I would recommend following your physician's advice, starting the new pill as you finish the package of your current pills.
