A member asked:

Neighbor's dog had fleas, then got distemper virus. neighbor began having bone/nerve pain after flea issue. do fleas spread this virus? is he crazy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I cannot comment: On whether your neighbor is crazy or not but fleas can bite humans and those bites can become infected which can sometimes lead to a more systemic spread of the infection or response to it so he should see his physician. Fleas carry diseases as well that can infect humans but not distemper.
