You need an exam: The bleeding is likely coming from your cervix or uterus. Common causes are benign (non-cancerous) growths, such as polyps, or an infection. A pelvic exam will be the most helpful in figuring out the cause. You may also need a pelvic ultrasound, culture and blood test.
