A member asked:

Is it normal to bleed after intercourse? its happened on occasion over the last 6 months, but has happened every time the last 5 instances. i had my period 2 weeks ago and dont have pain. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding associated with sexual activity is usually caused by cervical inflammation. See your GYN physician for an exam, who may cauterize the cervix via thermal or freezing methods after testing with a repeat Pap smear.
