Multiple factos: Bruxism(grinding/clenching) is a very complicated symptom that a lot of people deal with. The most common excuse for bruxing is stress related, however recent studies have linked clenching and grinding with sleep apnea. You could be clenching because you are not getting enough air while sleeping. You can have different splints made to help with the grinding and pain while sleeping. See a specialis.
