Abdominal pain: The key to treating lower abdominal pain is to try to find the cause, which will lead us to whatever the appropriate treatment is. If you have severe pain, you should go to the emergency room, because some of the causes are emergencies, such as appendicitis. If the pain is the less severe than that, you can try to wait for a little while longer and see your doctor. Hope that helps.
