General measures: General helpful measures: 1. Avoid bright light and loud noise 2. If before 2 pm try a caffeinated beverage 3. If before 2 pm try moderate exercise like 4-6 block walk 4. Anti-inflammatories prescribed by your doctor (e.g. Ketaprofen) or otc (e.g. Ibuprofen) 5. Butterbur root extract (petadolex) 6. Make sure you get 8 hrs restful uninterrupted sleep. 7. Avoid extended sitting & do neck stretches.
