What can be done to shed pounds for a 13 year old that doesn't like fruit/veg and find exercise hard?

Small changes add up: While vegetables and exercise are important, you can begin with small changes. Drinks provide "hidden" calories - by cutting out juice, soda, or other sugary stuff and drinking water instead you'll consume hundreds fewer calories a week. Paying attention to portion control can also help. Put one portion of snack food in a bowl to avoid the "oops, i ate it all!" dilemma.

Sitting less: Sit less, stand or walk more. Gamify your lifestyle and drink less soda.

Lors of things!: First, exercise includes dancing to music, riding her bike, going for a walk as a family, etc. Next, cut out all sweet drinks -- even 100% juice every day puts on 10 lb. extra. Limit screen time (max 1 hr daily) and she has to earn it by physical activity. Try doing healthy smoothies with fruits and veggies -- add ginger or nutmeg. And celebrate her small successes. Good luck!
