Is acne something that lasts forever in people that have it?

No: It will eventually remit. The key is that all acne can be managed by a competent physician.

Varies: The majority have it in their teens with resolution by their early 20's.However, a subset can have it off and on well into their 30's and beyond.Eventually it will disappear, but is one of the hardest to predict.
