A member asked:

What can i do if my blood sugar dropped to 42 but i'm also on my period, is that too low?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It it: Was a finget stick glucose, it probably wasn't accurate. Blood sugar does not drop that low unless you're on diabetes medication or have cancer, end state kidney or liver disease, prior GI surgery, etc. You glucose is most likely totally normal, but you're probably overweight and Insulin resistant and your blood sugar drops quickly some time after a meal, but never below normal.
