Pleurisy: Pleurisy is an inflammation of the lining of the lung tissues, pleura. Some of the causes include infections (viral, bacterial, tb, fungal), autoimmune diseases, blood clots, and injuries. Treatments should be directed towards the underlying cause such as antibiotics for the bacterial infection. Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs can help control the pain associated with it.
