Sweating is: Regulated by the 'sympathethic' part of the autonomic nervous system. It allows your body to adapt to heat. It also fires when one is anxious (measured in the 'lie detector test'), or in 'fight or flight' situations of any kind. I am sweating a little for you because I am anxious that you smoke, and that can kill you. Sweating means very little.
