No....: As long as you use them the correct way, there is no risk of damage. If you were to inflate the cuff and leave it inflated for too long, it could cause damage to your arm.

No: Not if used properly...Automated cuffs are especially safe but don't use in limbs with vascular aneurysms or dialysis grafts.
