Unrelated conditions: These two issues may be unrelated to a common cause. As far as bad breath you should have your dentist rule out gum disease. Floss daily and brush your tongue when brushing your teeth at least 2 times per day. Sometimes breath odor is from the nasopharyngeal area or back of the throat and nasal passages. Or can even be caused by diet. First check the gums www.Thedentaltest.Com is a start.

Good OH and airway: Bad breath can be treated with good oral hygiene and perio tx. Airway volume may be the problem. Narrow palate often leads to malocclusion, compromised periodontal health (ultimately bone loss and bad breadth), most importantly, less airway volume (reduction of oxygen intake). Expand the palate in children has proven to increase airway volume and reduced or eliminate dark circle under the eye.
