A member asked:

Is it possible that cml is present with leucocytosis with 0% basophills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I would not rely on : Basophils etc are not reliable. Cml diagnosis requires clinical picture of leucocytosis, immature white cells in the peripheral blood and in bone marrow. But most importantly if the WBC count is over 15, 000, i would do cytogenetics and look for philadelphia chromosome . That is th eonly reliable diagnostic test.
