Try a different med: If Allegra (fexofenadine) is innefective for allergy symptoms, you might tri cetirazine (zyrtec) or loratadine. Both are available over the counter.

Allegra (fexofenadine) not working: Depends what we are treating. If allergic rhinitis symptoms, then adding a nasal steroid or antihistamine could help. If you are treating hives, then there are more effective oral antihitamnes such as zyrtec or xyzal (levocetirizine). Alternatively, one could add an h2 antagonist - such as Zantac or Pepcid for better control of the hives.

See your Doctor: If one is prescribed a medication that is not working for a particular set of symptoms or a certain disease then follow up with the prescribing physician is the most appropriate nest step..
