Virology: Daniel Griffin ;Columbia University associate research scientist; reported concern that allergy medications containing corticosteroids may dampen the body's ability to respond to viral infections. Part of the reason for controversy may be have to do with relative doses of steroids with some believing that steroid doses found in many allergy medications to be low to be problematic.
