Have MD draw blood.: There are many options for drawing blood if it cannot be taken from the routine areas. This occurs periodically with children, with adults with no veins and in a trauma setting. The options would be to hydrate and warm the person and re-evaluate. Next try using a vein lite or syris head light to find the veins followed by ultrasound identification of the subclavian vein or a femoral vein stick.
