A member asked:

Is there any way to contract hiv or other blood borne diseases from a blood draw?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not if done properly: Blood draws are generally done under aseptic conditions with new needle for each patient. If such precautions are not taken, e.g., if needles are reused, that could result in transmission of infections.
