YES!!: Absolutely. Lice is very contagious and all children who had contact with the infected child should also be examined.

Yes: The day care should know so they can identify any operations within their center that could increase risk of kids passing this around & take steps to avoid it. Once treated, most will not hassle you about returning your kid to the daycare.
