Hematochezia: Blood in stool is never normal. The probability is that you irritated the anal skin wiping yourself in cleaning up the diarrhea, or had bleeding from a hemorrhoid which was disturbed. If this happens again, or if the blood was mixed in the stool and not on the toilet paper would definitely go and see a doctor and be examined.
