Usually not: But this is a disease with recurrent flares. There are simple blood tests that can tell you how much inflammation is going on. If you are having symptoms, talk to your doctor.

See below: You can have flare up of your RA from time to time, but you could also have osteoarthritis playing a role with your symptoms. Your rheumatologist should be able to sort it out.
