When he wants more!: Pay attention to your baby's cues - there is no magic age cutoff for advancing feedings. Rather, you will notice when your baby wants to eat more frequently, or still seems hungry after drinking two ounces. At that point you can try offering more and see if she is interested. Each child will advance at their own pace, but as long as they are gaining weight and growing well, it's okay.

Varies: Babies can usually take up to 1/2 their pound weight as ounces. An 8 lb kid could take 4 and so on.If they swallow a lot of air, they take less. If the kid empties all his/her bottles, you can begin advancing by 1/2 oz/feeding until baby begins to leave some behind.
