Few days: Usually after strabismus surgey it takes a few days to fully be comfortable to open your eyes. The eyelash sensation is likely the stitches they used in surgery. The body takes few days to absorb/melt the stitches. As they melt, the sensation gets better. Usually ophthalmic ointments lubricate the surface of the eye &make you more comfortable. 6 hours is not enough time to feel 100%. Feel better!
