Antibiotics : Pneumonia is primarily treated with antibiotic medicine. Depending on the severity a patient may need other kinds of supportive care. This can range from fluids to more complex kinds of care, even in some cases life support such as mechanical ventilation or medicine to support circulatory function. Though certainly most cases are not this severe.
