Dr. Michael Gabor answered

Specializes in Diagnostic Radiology

Idiopathic: Interstitial Pneumonia(IIP) is a group of non infectious pneumonias that share various clinical and radiographic findings, predominantly affect the interstitium of the lungs, and have no known cause. It is not one entity, it is a category of entities. The treatment depends on the subtype of IIP.
