Doubtful: Suspect that your growth was not stunted by smoking a hookah, but rather that you are just short in stature or delayed in maturing. The best thing to do is to see a doctor, describe the problem and be fully evaluated. Good luck.

Can't "fix": At age 28 years old, your growth plates have fused. Do not anticipate that you will have any further increase in height. The natural history of nicotine dependence in teens study (funded by the Canadian cancer society) published in the journal annals of epidemiology (17 march 2008) showed that on average, teenage boys who smoked were 2.54 cm shorter than their non-smoking counterparts.
