See a podiatrist...: Have a podiatrist examine it and consider having it biopsied. There are several things that can form under the toenail. Warts are viruses, but there can also be a growth that can be coming from the underlying bone or the soft tissue, including some cancers. Don't try self treatment or self diagnosing. Have it checked!
