Pressure: Apply pressure with a clean piece of cloth or gauze. You might want to head to the emergency room, you seem to have a deep cut that needs sutures. You need a tetanus booster shot.

Direct pressure: Put a clean cloth on the wound and put hard direct pressure. Hold for 10 minutes. If it is still bleeding after, then you probably need medical treatment. Tylenol (acetaminophen) for the pain, not Aspirin it ibuprofen.
