A member asked:

They say to drink water for dehydration, but would drinking plenty of juice made out of water be as equivalent, or does water alone make a difference?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Sometimes the juices have components that can be a problem. Most are ok for hydration, but if you have diarrhea also the juices can aggravate the diarrhea. Many foods are also good for dehydration.Applesauce is 95% water, steamed vegetables 65%, jello >95%, etc.
