A member asked:

Slightly low wbc, should i be worried. went to er for light headedness couldn't find anything wrong still lightheaded and was sent home with a heart m?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Reference ranges are set to include 90% or so of people without symptoms, so it's common for normal folks to have labs outside. Famously, white counts fluctuate wildly depending on something as trivial as a cold shower; unless the absolute neutrophil or absolute lymphocyte count goes way low, don't be concerned.
