Confusing situation: It's hard for one person to tell another what the other person feels, even if the first person is a therapist or psychiatrist. You're the authority on the raw experience you're having, no one else. The defensive process of "depersonalization" could result in not feeling "grounded;" but you'd have to ask the therapist what she means by it, and why this differs from what you already conveyed.
