A member asked:

Took alpha blockers&cipro for 1month to treat prostatitis. now no more on these meds. have burning sensation on perineum area during pee & ejaculation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

As the urethra exits: The prostate, it enters the bulbar and then membranous urethra...Burning in this location indicates urethritis, which can be bacterial, or non-specific. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) does not treat mycoplasma, tetracycline does. You should check with your internist or a urologist to be sure.
