I got a due date of 1/1/14, n was told i was about 8wks(5/28) at my 1st clinic visit, (6/8 at the er) they said 6-8wks ..which one is correct?

Either or Neither: Edc's(estimated date of confinement) or due dates are exactly that "estimated" based initially on your lmp(last menstrual period) and initial size of the uterus upon exam + or - 2 weeks. The edc becomes more accurate later in the pregnancy as you cross various "landmarks" for determining the due date.
