In a condition called hypertropia one eye is actually slightly higher than the other eye and may cause double vision or partially overlapping images. Putting a prism in one eyeglass lens may bring images together. I have seen this work successfully. Run this by your ophthalmologist or optometrist to determine if this applies to your problem
