At least twice a day: Before breakfast, every time pt feels different, and in the afternoon. Blood pressure during sleep usually drops.

Any time: When i ask a patient to check their blood pressure, i typically like to see what their readings are randomly throughout the day. So mornings, afternoons and evenings , randomly every day.

Blood pressure: Blood pressure varies throughout the day. In general it is higher in the am and when most active, it is generally lower in the pm when most inactive. One BP measurement tells you only the BP at that particular time on that particular day.
