COULD BE SERIOUS: If you have blood in urine and kidney swell up, you have some kind of blockage in your pelvis.Need referral to the urologist
unless this is one time deal after some rough sex that the urethra was injured, swelling and bleeing--this will be ok in few days and no more rough sex!

Hematuria: Backup of urine in the kidneys at your age is usually due to obstruction of urine outflow from anywhere along the urinary system - kidneys, ureter, bladder, etc. If you were younger i might consider that urine from the bladder is going into the toilet and going backwards into your kidneys - reflux. However, hematuria is not seen with reflux so i would think there is a blockage somewhere.
