Unlikely: But anything is possible. The number of potential causes for this non-specific sleepiness is large. Have you been sleeping well? If someone sleeps with you ask them if you are snoring or if they have noticed you stop breathing for a moment or two. Are you depressed? Have there been other symptoms? If this keeps up, go and see your local physician.

It could but I doubt: Possibilities in connection with periods is mood disorder (in which case this would happen with previous periods and with almost every period). Not connected with periods: mononucleosis , poor sleep at night, sleep apnea, or just a virus infection.
