I have herd from my prof. that a double tube stethoscope is not a very good one because it diffuses the sounds. is that true? witch do you use?

Stethoscope: I old sprague-rappaport stethoscope is the one i had throughout medical school and early in my career and was just fine. I have never seen or heard a real difference. Any difference is likely not appreciable by normal human hearing.
