PGD: Pgd or preimplantation genetic diagnosis can check the sex of embryos made with ivf. It is quite reliable. The problem is: what to do with the embryos of the undesired sex? Discard? Freeze? Donate to research or another person? Other methods of sex selection are very unreliable: like sperm washing, or timed intercourse. For more information seek a consult at a large reputable ivf program.

Agree: Agree with dr chen. Remember pgd or cgh will tell you what the gender is but there is no guarantee that you will create the desired gender. For example, you may desire to have a girl but the embryos created are all boys. So the test is very accurate in determining the sex but does not influence which gender is created and whether you will get pregnant or not.
