It depends?: If this was always the case, you may have some sort of anatomical concern that may need to be treated surgically by an oral surgeon. If this happened after a dental visit where you had a shot to numb your lower teeth, it could be something called trismus (spasm of jaw muscles). It could be caused by past trauma to your jaw or possibly a growth or tumor. I would seek advise from your dentist.
