Depends on details: Chest pains have many causes but can be serious and usually should be reported to the doctor. As with other symptoms, to start making a diagnosis we need a lot more details on: 1) exact location 2) severity 3) quality (like sharp or dull or pressure) 4) frequency 5) what makes it worse 6) what makes it better 7) other associated symptoms 8) your medical history.
