Difficult: This can be a difficult problem. Sometimes a sacral donut can help to alleviate contact pressure in that area, but this may not work for sleep. Lidoderm patches can numb the area but can be difficult to place there. Pain medications can be helpful but should only be used for the short term. The good news is that for most patients, the symptoms eventually resolve with time.

Coccxy pain: I agree with dr. Lin's suggestions for this painful condition. Please also know that the homeopathic remedy hypericum 30c may help. You can get it at many health food stores. Dosing would be every 4-6 hours or so, under tongue. If pain resolves, stop doses. If pain returns, dose again. If no help in 2-3 doses, you likely need a different remedy -- but hypericum is worth a try.
