Jaw pain: First see a dentist to make sure that the pain isn't tooth related- cavity, abscess, impacted wisdom tooth etc. If you are grinding or clenching your teeth, or chewing lots of gum, the resultant muscle spasms would be painful. Tetanus would be causing pain throughout your body, not just your jaw.

Not tetanus: It is not likely tetanus as your pain would be more wide spread. Tmj pain is a possibility. Start with a dentist or oral surgeon.

Not tetanus: Not tetanus. See your dentist, it he confirms. See a TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
