What your opinion about vaccine against citomegalovirus in pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good idea: Cytomegalovirus is a significant cause of injury to a developing fetus and infection can create problems ranging from loss of pregnancy, diffuse fetal systemic disease, fetal brain damage and or deafness. Occurring most often if the mother never had the illness prior to pregnancy. Attempts to make a safe and effective vaccine are ongoing, but none is past the investigative stage at present.
