Check with doctor: But this is also the age when a lot of us end up needing reading glasses. It may just be a factor of age, but i'd ask the doctor who performed the surgery!

Its your age: Lasik or prkcorrects your distance eye glass prescription and does not correct presbyopia, the normal loss of focusing up close that happens as we age. The mid-40s is a very typical age to need reading glasses. Prk does not correct presbyopia.
